When orborneroberts writes "Now the brass tax" he might intend the English idiom "get down to brass tacks" which means "let's discuss the most important question or essential information."
As for "none showing detailed knobs for the sound", try looking at the owner's manual. The manuals for ...

Moog Music off Broadway?
I noticed that Moog Music recently changed their mailing address from 160 Broadway in Asheville to 108 Monticello Road #9 in Weaverville NC (about 10 miles north). Does that mean Moog has finally moved out of their long-time Asheville home? And does anyone know if Moog Music is still going to move ...

Re: Is Moog Music OK, just learned about the NC floods
Got a brief text this morning from a friend in Asheville. She just got mobile phone service back, but power is still out and water is unsafe (unless it's bottled). Duke Energy outage map shows that power is back on for much of downtown so I hope that means Moog Music and the Moogseum are okay ...

Re: Preset Packs for Moog One
Have you downloaded all of the free Moog One presets from the Moog Music website? Just log in, click the Go To Account button, then scroll past your Moog One's registration info to the Presets area. There are some good ones, including presets by Paris Strother of KING and Kevin Lamb, and Lisa Bella ...

Re: Recommendations for flying w a DFAM
Strongly recommend you to put your DFAM in a carry-on bag! A few reasons why:
1. Airlines urge passengers to carry-on "high-value" or "fragile" items (like electronics) because the airlines are not liable for any damage to items inside your checked bags.
2. For airport security, I always ask the ...

Re: YES !
I don't think the voice card calibration routine is the same as the 1.4 release. This one works! It solves tuning issues (as Till reported) and it fixed an annoying problem on my Moog One: Previously, voices 15 and 16 were noticeably louder than 1 through 14. Now all levels are even and consistent ...

Re: Subharmonicon Firmware Update, USB-MIDI adapter, SysEx...
Sorry, but looks like you'll have to spend some money. :(
Since there's no USB port on the Subharmonicon (or any Moog semimodular), the only way to perform the firmware update is through a USB/MIDI interface. If you already have an audio interface connected to your computer (like a Focusrite ...

Re: Keyboard Stand Options for the One
Other Moog One owners may have a different experience, but I think the One is just too massive to put anywhere but the first level of a stand. My Moog One was originally parked on a second tier above an 88-key digital piano. But the size and weight of the One just didn't feel stable enough on a pair ...

Re: Next 1.5 update, when ?
At superbooth 2021, I have talked to someone who is in the Moog business. He said, there will be no new firmware update any more. The reason was that key people left the company.
Does this mean Amos Gaynes has left Moog?
Amos's LinkedIn page still lists him as "Director of Product ...

Hey, BuggyOne—
Sorry to hear that you're getting radio silence from Moog Support. Many other people on this forum have had similar experiences. Some thoughts:
First, do you think your Moog One has faulty hardware? Or could "parts are not working as expected " mean that you haven't figured something ...

Re: Does the Matriarch Case allow you to keep cables plugged in?
It's possible to mash down the patch cables enough to close the case, but I would not recommend it. The Moog soft case is a snug fit. The flex part of the cables are forced to bend at a sharp 90 degrees at the end of the rigid plugs. So, I'm concerned that the cables could break or—worse—develop ...

Re: Matriarch Settings Editor for iPad?
I think Metagrid's MIDI capabilities are limited to controlling a virtual instrument, so you probably couldn't talk directly to the Matriarch. But there is another iPad app — MIDI Designer — that's used for custom-building MIDI controllers that can talk to physical instruments.

Re: Has Moog indicated how many Moog One's will be produced?
In one of the Moog One System Architecture videos, Amos says that nothing in the Moog One is "unobaintium", that Moog engineers looked ahead to make sure that the long-term availability of the parts is very good. Indicates to me that Moog expects to support the Moog One (or its architecture, at ...

Re: After 1.4 update - first 8 of 16 osc have dropped in volume
Interesting! After updating to 1.4, and running the calibration, voices 15 and 16 on my One got noticeably louder . It happens with the init patch, but it doesn't happen with all patches. Looks like the loud 15+16 also doesn't happen when the amp envelope is set for a slow attack. I'm still messing ...
