This looks like a major catastrophe. I hope everyone is OK and the factory isn't affected too much.

I am very worried about Moog. Asheville is a complete disaster area, will be cut off from the outside in multiple ways for WEEKS. Moog, MakeNoise, and lots of other important and interesting places are no doubt part of this catastrophe.
Estimates are that huriicane Helene has done over $100 BILLION dollars of damage across its entire path.
This is no ordinary hurricane or stome. Asheville hasn't been hit this hard since 1916.
My thoughts are with everyone involved with Moog.

Got a brief text this morning from a friend in Asheville. She just got mobile phone service back, but power is still out and water is unsafe (unless it's bottled). Duke Energy outage map shows that power is back on for much of downtown so I hope that means Moog Music and the Moogseum are okay.
Incredible, widespread damage; a lot of roads are still impassible. The French Broad (just west of downtown) flooded and took the River Arts District with it. Very, very sad for a really great city.

I spent some time there a couple years ago. Really shocking that it could be flooded being up in the mountainous part of NC. Also shocking to see parts of town I know well just wiped out or flooded.
I hope their parent company doesnt use this as an excuse to close operations in Asheville.

For those that aren't active on FB, fortunately there haven't been any tragic reports regarding current or former Moog empmoyees or their homes afaik., but the communities are in for a huge recovery.
The Moogseum sustained minor damage to their fascade but no flooding. Other companies made up of former Moog Employees such as Asheville Music Tools and Make Noise are all accounted for.
Asheville Music Tools and some of the other companies in the cooperative are holding a raffle to benefit the community. See AMT website for details. Interested parties can donate to charities such as the World Central Kitchen and BeLoved Asheville.
But for those interested in Moog's Asheville footprints, I'd venture to say that the former factory at the Mill on Riverside Drive probably was damaged but there hasn't been a lot of info yet about that or about Bob's property where he ran Big Briar or even about the former store on Broadway.
Here's hoping that they recover quickly and find some semblance of the Asheville that they love.
