MF 108M? flux

/shouting obscenities of joy over here

YAY!!! I will be using this on basically everything. fawesome.

this sounds like its going to be expensive…midi AND bbd! i may have to let go of a fooger (or two :open_mouth: ) to get one of these beauties. ive been shopping around for cheap choruses lately, flangers too actually, but this trumps all. those lfo wave forms are very exciting!

Probably won’t get one of these. It does nothing I can’t do already with the gear I already have. (And it isn’t the only chorus/flanger that has S/H. Just the only stand alone unit to have it.) And all the hype about limited just means too expensive to me. Now, if it came out in MU Format, that would be a different story.

via Gearslutz, pre orders!

Thoughts?

And there are companies that can manufacture the chips they need so they are not in such short supply. PanJit Americas comes instantly to mind. (We have been toying with reproducing CEM equivalent chips with them.)

600 bucks?

Theres the kicker.

Panjit literally, currently manufactures high-voltage BBD chips that are sonically equivalent to Panasonic MN series?
Or they could if someone was to pay for a full-scale production run?
These are two very, very different things, if you’re a small manufacturer…

$549 preorder special with free shipping from nova musik. Ships late summer.

Done!

They CAN and it isn’t that expensive for a run of 500 or more chips. (Compared to the cost of not being able to get them at all.) The more you order, the cheaper it is as the setup is what costs. I’m not a small MFG at all and it looks feasable at this point to try and run some CEM’s for sale as the availability of certain ones is down to nothing and they are what are needed to bring some old machines to life. That would also open up the possibilty of NEW synths using these chips. (Analog-poly machines. Hint, nudge)

I’m the 1st in line at Sweetwater! :smiling_imp:

I agree, Limited Edition = $$$$$, if they offered this in MU I’d really consider buying it for sure, but as nice as it may sound, i can’t justify paying almost $600 for a fooger pedal again.

I’m curious to know how closely these are related.

The guy who owns that is a forum member.

More like 519.

My thought was that it would make me really happy if the internal design was based on one of Bob Moog’s own circuits.

On homepage now

The ability to control Delay Time w/ MIDI Notes for “tuned” flanger comb-filter effects.

Suddenly very interesting!

erick: $519 you say?

Well, you know that Moog or Michelle has the schematics in the archives somewhere, and Ive been hoping that they would stumble upon some gem in the archives for some protype schem long since forgotten.

But considering that that unit was a prototype chorus flanger…I don’t see why it wouldn’t be something similar. Unfortunately the dude that owns that hasn’t psoted any demos or taken any shots of the inside.

All we can do is wait and see.

Eric

Yeah 519 as per John.
