Do you know of any good alternatives to pro-tools? Something a bit cheaper maybe?
I don't want crap, so if there isn't anything comparable in function but cheaper in price I'll just get pro-tools.

can anyone reccomend a good laptop for using software synths? I'd want to use this at home as well as on the road. Is apple the best way to go? I'm hesitant because I don't know apples well but I DO know PCs quite well. And also any good softsynth recomendations are welcome

I have a ARP quartet that I'm looking to get rid of. It has nice string sound. I originally bought it for the organ but have since given up on my dreams. It also has brass and piano which makes it a QUARTET!! yay!
