Another great pedal company that are very inexpensive are the Moen effects. I have the Compressor and it will compete with a Keeley, yet it costs only $65. Very clean sounding.

Word on the street is that the newer Nano range can't be modded, or at least the old mods don't work.EricK wrote:
Electro Harmonix goes really great with Moog, and if you want to take them to the next level they can be modded out too.
The Boss RE-20 is great. When not being used as a delay I like the reverb on percussion.EricK wrote:
Im about to get the Graphic Fuzz for my sister, and Im going to see how it works in the mixer out filter in and Ill let you know how that goes.
Also, if you are spending upwards ot 200 on a delay, consider the Boss RE20 Space Echo. It has tap tempo and its $250. It also is usable with an expression pedal.
Be sure to let us know how you get on with the graphic fuzz. It looks like it could replace a few different overdrive/distortion pedals.

Can anyone recommend a good compressor pedal to use with the Voyager?
I used to use an RE-20 space echo pedal, but I found it to be too muddy and colored the sound way too much. Using a Carbon Copy delay now & am much happier.

I don't really understand why anyone would want to use a compressor pedal with the voyager. I mean, I understand overloading an LA-2A, but I don't think a Dyna Comp or a Keeley compressor would really do much for the voyager other than bring up unwanted noise. (if you want to have a "clickier" attack, just play with the vca's envelope
)

So this thing only plays one note?

I don't use the Moen compressor on my Voyager. I was pointing out that Moen makes a lot of great pedals for not much money, and the quality is quite good. I use that compressor for guitar. However, I do have a compressor on my effects rack that I use as a limiter.

Re: What effects are you using with your Voyager?
Does the mixer out/filter in jack send/return line level signals or instrument level signals? I want to use some effects pedals here as well but not sure if I need an attenuator to convert the send from line level to instrument level and then on the return have a DI convert it from instrument level back to line. How do you guys use your effects pedals on this jack?
Is this the right chain that is needed for the effects pedals?
Voyager Mixer Out -> Line to Instrument Level Converter/Attenuator -> Effects Pedal -> DI (Instrument to Line Level) -> Voyager Mixer In
Or do you just plug it in directly?
Voyager Mixer Out -> Effects Pedal -> Voyager Mixer In
Thanks!

Try the Oto Biscuit! Not only will it make your Voyager cry, it can also be transformed into a synth in its own right with the Der Oto firmware update. For free!
Re: What effects are you using with your Voyager?
I use a TC Electronics Fireworx for Reverb alike stuff.....and a Strymon Timeline for the Delays....

MF-101, MF-102, MF-108, Roland RE-20, Boss RT-20, Line6 DL4, KP3. (and strongly considering an MXR carbon copy or holding out for an affordable MF-104). If I could only keep one non-fooger pedal, it would be the RE-20... hopefully one day I will replace it with the real thing.
