RME issues

Post by d s murray » Fri Dec 09, 2011 6:08 am

Hello

I'm having a couple of problems with my RME which I hope someone can help with. I've had a look over previous posts and studied the manual but still have outstanding questions.

When I change the MIDI channel in the Master menu the setting is not saved on power off. Is that normal?

Also, changing the Master/HP Volume setting to take volume level from presets is not saved on power off.

I've got the VX-352, but I can't seem to get the TS inputs to have any effect. This is a mystery to me because everything else seems to work, ie I can use MOD2 and pot-map a modulation destination and it works...

...which leads me to my final query: I want to set up a patch with the classic combination of PWM pulse and a sawtooth wave. I thought this would be quite easy using my MP201 to generate an LFO to modulate the wave of OSC1, but when I set this up using pot mapping I can't get precisely the range I want, between square and thin pulse. Any ideas?

Best regards

Please make sure the boot version is the same as the system version.
You will find these informations in the MASTER menu (Software Version).

Hi Rudi

Yes, it had occurred to me that this might be the issue. The boot version is 3.0, the software 3.5. I was surprised that this was the case, as the unit was recently shipped.

Is it relatively easy to update the boot version?

Download RME version 3.5 here:
http://www.moogmusic.com/sites/default/ ... me_web.zip
First load bank B and after that the RME will ask for bank D.
