Plus, there is the weight factor... the T3 is no featherweight, even at only 1 octave. An extra half-octave's width of all the sheet metal parts, etc. would have added several more pounds to what is already a fairly massive beast.

Yeah, 1.5 octaves would have been WAY too heavy...
