So, which will we have? What do we want?

How about one octave with a transpose button? (Or 1.5 octaves with a transpose button ;)).

Press (or hold) Transpose, then play a pedal. The pedalboard is now scaled to this note.

Moog will probably be limited to pedalboards that are commercially available. Probably this:

13, 17 or 20 (!) pedals. There's a wooden one, too...

From a design standpoint (and also for a control standpoint), one octave is easier (no exp. converter for linear VCOs). This may have made the Taurus 1s better, and you could play them in tune straight away.

One octave w/ a transpose function sounds good.

i would quite like 1.5 octaves, although this goes outside of Moog's remit of recreating the original. However i only want the extra half octave if it goes in the lower direction

1.5 octaves, definitely.

The ability to transpose up and down by octave is standard and useful. I'm not sure if I understand correct, but it sounds like the suggestion above is that you could play F, his 'Transpose', and now the 1 octave (normally a C-to-C range) would effectively be F-to-F. I guess this would be a nice option for someone who wanted it. I don't. It sounds confusing, and doesn't lend itself well to live improvisation IMHO. But maybe I misunderstood the post.

With bass pedals, you aren't going to be able to play insane chops. Even a simple bassline would take a lot of practice, unless you had double-jointed ankles. Bass pedals, IMO, are for adding the extra fundamental to your chord.

Many synths e.g. Roland Juno-106, SH-101 have transpose buttons, and so do the Studiologic (retail version of Fatar) bass pedals.

I probably wouldn't mind 1/1.5 either way, but if it were the former, I would like the transpose function

I voted for 1.5 octaves. I have yet to put my order in. I just bought a Voyager and a mf-102 so I'm a little low on cash until the next payday. Oh, and the Voyager I bought has a little something extra from the guys at Moog :o . I'll post a pic once it shows up. Everyone is gonna want what I got... Let the suspense begin.

I wish they would put a Moog logo in the blank space on Osc 1 like they did on the RME.

I find that my rig doesn't have enough Moog logos.
