I recently updated to OS2.0. I had OS 1.0 before, and had connected the Voyager to a sequencer (Yamaha QY70). The MIDI ins and Outs are connected correctly, and MIDI in and out channels also activated correctly.
THen I updated to 2.0, and now the communication between the V and the QY seems messed up.
This is what happens (connections unchanged, and I followed all steps of the update to 2.0 correctly - at least I followed all the steps in the update document)
I can send midi data to the sequencer and the QY detects and shows midi data flowing in. However, when I play notes on the QY, the midi LED does not do anything. (this did work before the update).
When i send midi date from the Voyager to the QY, some notes get rrecorded, and others do`not get recorded. When using step by step input in the QY, these notes are recorded, but agan, they are not transmitted so that i get any sound. When I play realtime into the qy, most notes
Can anyone help with this issue? Did I omit some important step setting up midi in the Voyager? (This worked fine before... *sigh*)
While I'm at it... When I got the Voyager I thought I could relax and use a nice analog instrument, but with all this update business I find myself wasting more time troubleshooting than actually playing the thing. is it just me or does this upset others too? If I could wish for one thing, it would be an instument that works great without having to mess around updating the dang OS. all the time. I am at the brink of saying: This thing isn't really for me anymore
