This is a world of analog synthesizers, where you can't add analog features. But all things created digital might be changed (like envelopes, lfos, etc.)
If you recall, when Moog released the first series of Voyagers (Signature edition), both filters
only operated in their -24db/oct slope setting.
After one of the earlier firmware updates, it allowed the independent selection of poles 1-4.
Of course, the filter poles had to have been tapped in the hardware, but the firmware update
enabled them to be selected as a menu function.
Given this history with the Voyager, it is quite reasonable to wonder whether the Muse already
has the filter poles tapped and would later be made selectable from menu via firmware update.

This is what I was getting at. But I guess it depends on how the voices are laid out. If the filter is its own ic then it's highly likely that there is a leg for each pole. If it's the whole voice on one chip (like the take 5) then less likely. you see there are no OP-Amps or other means needed to pick up the signal after each individual pole (you have to decouple, otherwise the filter will change drastically in its function. See other schematics for switchable poles). And you need external operated switch chips, to set the pole setting via the digital memory. These are also missing. So no switchable filter poles with the current Muse filters possible. Sorry.

Modulation sources that exist at the voice level are not routable to the CV outs (unless I missed something - only had a Muse for <24 hours). This includes all EGs and LFOs (everything before Keyboard in the source list). It would be nice if these sources could be sent to the CV outs under certain conditions:
- LFOs set to Global type in any voice control mode
- EGs and LFOs (regardless of type) when timbre is set to Mono
- LFOs set to Global type in any voice control mode
- EGs and LFOs (regardless of type) when timbre is set to Mono

It'd be nice if there were a way to edit the keyboard split point actually using the keyboard instead of just the value encoder. Something like press and hold Enter or Shift and press a key.

It'd be nice if there were a way to easily transpose a timbre in split mode, even if it's just by octaves (e.g., transpose timbre A up one octave but leave timbre B where it is). Perhaps a couple more entries in the Voice Control More page for this? Yes of course one can transpose the oscs, mod osc, filters, etc, but that's considerably more tedious and error-prone.

Some suggestions too:
- The led of frequency of the MOD OSC should blink and the rate should display in Hz like others OSC.
- A kbd tracking 25% and 75% in filters ? I do that with the Mod Map, but it could be cool.
- A "constant value" in the sources in the Mod Map ?
- A "latch mode" as a variant for the Hold could be really cool !
And the more important one:
- Please oh please add an oneshot mode in LFO1 and LFO2 ! Two envelopes are not enough on this beast !

The new latching shift key has made the fine tuning way more tolerable for me in fw v1.4. Plus it added master tune so that's nice.sbell.sd wrote: Mon Nov 11, 2024 3:47 pm 1. A quantize function in the mod matrix.

It is extremely rare the tuning is tight (all OCSs within .25 HZ at 440 HZ), but it then sounds spectacular.
