Midi You Can Help Me? S37

Hi, I need help!!!

I've been trying to integrate the Sub 37 into my laptop DAW setup with varying degrees of success.

What I want to know and I don’t think this is possible but here goes:
I want to send midi clock from my DAW to the Sub 37 and then send that clock on through the Midi Out on Sub 37 to a separate Laptop. The problem is I don’t want to send any other midi data from the Sub 37 with the clock signal BUT I want send the Sub 37 Midi data back to my DAW through the USB at the same time.

So is it possible to use the Midi Out port as a Midi Thru whilst simultaneously sending all Sub 37 Midi Data out to my DAW via USB???

I haven't tried this, but the Sub 37 has pretty flexible MIDI routing. You could try something like:

MIDI MENU 2.X

IN PORTS : BOTH, DIN or USB depending on how your DAW and gear is connected
OUT PORTS : USB (Sub 37 sends only through USB to the DAW)
ECHO DIN IN : DIN if you use DIN from the DAW, or OFF otherwise
ECHO USB IN: DIN if you use USB from the DAW, or OFF otherwise

The ECHO settings control the merge/through functions.

Thanks for the input. I will try this again incase I did something wrong but when I tried exactly what you describe the midi data that's output was sent through with the midi clock and messed the sync up. Turning off the midi data being output seems to be a global setting which stops me differentiating between the midi port and usb port.

The problem is not so much the sub 37 I guess but that Reason is a spoilt, only child that doesn't like to play with the other kids and only sends midi clock to one destination........going to look into buying Logic as a middle man......
