You have lots of good responses here. Let me put in my two cents.
If you are recording and want that true Minimoog sound, go for the Model D. To my ear nothing sounds like it, although admittedly I have never seen or heard an OS. The OS might be my second choice if it captures that Model D shimmer ...

I have owned an Andromeda for about 4 years (a very early version) and have had zero issues with it.
It has made some incredibly wanky sounds at times when I first turn it on, but after tuning it always comes back. Seems to like a couple of tunings, though. I would probably be better to turn it on ...

Minimoog Mod Wheel Cover
I just bought another Minimoog Model D. I shouldn't have, but I can't help myself.
Does anybody know what to do about the "varnish" on Mod Wheel cover when it gets cloudy. I have seen pictures of them after stripping and then after re-varnishing, but there is no mention of what materials to use ...

OK....I have never seen this asked on any of the synth boards that I watch...maybe I have missed it.
Everyone knows that analog synths have oscillators that drift, particularly the synths that were made 30 years ago.
So why does the A440 tone on my Mini D not drift? I am sure that it must drift ...
