Re: DFAM 'strange' behaviour

I too just encountered this as being a problem. With the SEQ PITCH MOD switch set to off. Then the sequencer acts normally - as in with a decay at 11 o'clock, only the steps that have velocity turned up will trigger. If you select VCO 1&2 or VCO 2 with the SEQ PITCH MOD switch, then the pitch se...

Re: Is It Possible to Use Y Cables?

From the manual: NOTE: When patching, it is OK to split an output signal with a “Mult”, a “y” cable, or with cables with stackable plugs. When connecting to inputs, only connect one output signal to a single input to prevent over-voltages. So you should be good to go splitting the assign out once yo...

Re: Can I set BPM with the M32? MIDI?

Just run the KP3 midi out to the mother midi in, and it should work. The mother manual explains it all pretty well on how to sync it up.

However, the roland 670 says it has midi in/out, so why not use it for your clock?

Cheers

Re: Can I set BPM with the M32? MIDI?

I use a Korg Kaoss pad - KP3 as the master clock (MIDI), as it has a BPM display, then thru a midi solutions splitter to sync my sub37, and my electribe(v2) using MIDI. The electribe has a CV sync out, which then goes into my M32 CV (not midi) to sync tempo. I recently got a DFAM, so the CV sync out...

Re: Sub Phatty Blues

Hi there. So the delay issue, not working through the headphones is because the DELAY is hooked up to the signal path AFTER the moog, and the headphones only get whats coming out of the MOOG, nothing after the audio out. If you want to use headphones you will need to go: MOOG (audio out) > DELAY > M...

Re: DFAM & Yamaha mixer peaking

Hi, I have a Mother 32, and after a few months the output of it became unusably high. Ended up being the combined headphone/line out jack PCB- it stopped discerning whether i had headphones or a line out hooked up. A simple email to moog had them ship me a new part, and a super easy swap out. No pro...

Re: 3x 104HP - MoogAira Trigasm

I tried the AIRA delay, and was actually rather disappointed as it noise floor was unacceptable, maybe i had a dud - returned it in the end as the buzz was too much.
This rig of yours however looks super fun!!

Re: Arturia Drum Brute vs Mother

In case anyone is curious. This issue is known to Arturia, and if "you change the pitch you can find spots where the volume doesn't make it crackle and hiss" It is part of the circuitry, so no firmware fix. So if you plan on getting one of these, and think changing the bass drum volumes li...

Arturia Drum Brute vs Mother

Hey All, I assume some of you may have a Drum Brute, i just got mine to add into the mix with my mother but i have a question, and hopefully i can get a quick answer here in the moog family even though it is a Arturia issue. I have noticed both the bass drums exhibit pot noise when the drum is trigg...

Re: Stand recommendations for Sub 37

Am I the only one that uses an old kitchen cupboard door to rest the 37 on so i have room for various fx units/noise makers/mixers?
Said cupboard rests well on any $40 dollar stand, double brace to be safe...

Re: mother 32 amplification

I would go for the MAckie 802. I have one, and it has a couple very important features. Besides the very flexible routing and extra outputs, it has a dedicated stereo return channel - meaning an FX loop wont eat up channel 7/8, and more importantly, you can have the FX run pre/post fader, so if you ...

Re: Minitaur/Mother32 vs Sub Phatty vs Sub 37

I have the sub, the 37 and the mother. I would recommend skipping the sub, and going right to the 37. It may look complicated at first - but can be played as easily as the sub, and it is twice the synth. I kept my sub mainly because you can connect it to the 37 and create more madness, and it is a s...

Re: Sub 37's Powering Compatability

It will work just fine for you.

Its one of the very nice things about the sub. This "built in" wide range power supply saved me playing an outdoor gig with a bad generator that was putting out 20 volts too much for Canada (120 + 20) . Also good if you tour around the world.

They diagnosed the problems through the reported symptoms on this thread.

The removed board looked and smelled in good order, and admittingly i didn't bother metering it out.

Re: Mother gets loud when plugged to fx

Well good news all.
Moog tech got in touch and sent me a new "input" board - the small one bolted to the inside bottom of the case, quick swap and problem gone!
Shout out to Moog tech and customer service for their awesomeness.
