I chose mahogany because the Hammond B3, M3 and A100 I used to own were mahogany. The Hammonds are long gone, so I never had the chance to enjoy the look of a mahogany Moog sitting atop a mahogany B3. For color I have jade. I'm happy with it. One thing I've noticed is you need a fair amount of light ...

What you did with the guitar on that track is fantastic! It's a great example of using the awesome processing power of the Voyager, without being cliche or in-your-face. I also like all your other songs. Your musical style is right up my alley. I'll have to go to the label and make a couple ...

Man, you definitely made out on the rebates.

I was just listening again to Rise of the Monolith. That's a great track. It would make a good sound bed for a Discovery Channel space documentary.

I was getting the same message recently. As a shot-in-the-dark I tried entering the serial number in 4-digit format (0976, rather than 976). Strangely enough, that worked. But if your serial number is above 999, my solution doesn't apply.

Oh yeah, I hear ya! By purchasing the Moogerfoogers, you've now created a real 'need' for the Voayager : ) By the way, were you actually able to get a $30 rebate for each Moogerfooger? I bought one unit during that promotion. I was going to buy 3, but something on the rebate form made me assume you ...

A word of general advice. 'Want' is a powerful and often misunderstood human condition. It applies to many aspects of our lives and is a strong driving force. It's in our DNA. And it's associated with a certain amount of irony. We only want what we do not have. Once we have it, we no longer ...

Yeah, it definitely would be nice if the CP-251 included an envelope follower. Not that I couldn't put a freqbox to good use, but it's too bad we have to buy a dedicated effect box for the sake of the EF.

Thanks for that info. I don't own either yet. I have a Voyager SE so I can't see getting the 101. I do want an envelope follower though. That's the main reason I'm interested in the 107. The OSC SYNC will be a nice addition also, since the sync in the SE is so limited.

MF-101 and MF-107 ENV OUT jacks.. Different?

Are there any functional differences between these two jacks? My gut tells me no, but the online manuals describe them with different wording. For one, the MF-107 manual mentions that the output is "unfiltered". Is this significant? Does it mean I might not get the expected results as compared to ...

I'm a bit late chiming in, but here's my 2 cents about the Old School. I think it's a really bad idea, considering it's MSRP is close to what I paid for my brand new Select on Black Friday. Why would anyone prefer it over the Select? It just doesn't make sense. MOOG got it backwards. They should ...

Thanks Greg!! Good info. I had found some old threads talking about the Kicking It Up a Notch article, but the links were dead.

Getting Little Phatty filter overdrive sound with Voyager

I'm assuming that the way to get true Little Phatty emulation with a Voyager is to somehow add filter overdrive to the Voyager architecture. I'm thinking about using the rear panel jack to insert my Blue Robbie preamp between the mixer and filters. While increasing the preamp gain I'd use my ears to ...

Thanks for the info. I should have received it at no additional cost, so I've just emailed Sweetwater and requested that they send me the discs. I'm sure they'll take care of that in short order.

Yes, I'm enjoying the Moog Select very much! The capabilities have exceeding my expectations. And I'm ...
