Yeah for these authentic reissue Moog modules....they are so expensive.
THats why i only have the 921A Osc Driver.
For this reason most people just get a dotcom transistor ladder filter and claim that there is no difference in the sound.

I just wonder if he ever plugged his guitar into the polyfusion!!

Only if Steve Porcaro let him! (See photo in Mark Vail's book 'Vintage Synthesizers', page 155).theglyph wrote:Very nice read!Kevin Lightner wrote:If so, you might find this to be interesting reading...

A word of general advice. 'Want' is a powerful and often misunderstood human condition. It applies to many aspects of our lives and is a strong driving force. It's in our DNA. And it's associated with a certain amount of irony. We only want what we do not have. Once we have it, we no longer associate a sense of 'want' to it anymore. In many cases, we actually find ourselves NOT wanting something after we've acquired it. In extreme cases, we want something, then get it, then find we don't want it, so we get rid of it, then later we find ourselves wanting it again!! Many people become a slave to 'want', and the credit card companies understand this all too well. Have you ever heard the saying, "It's not the kill, it's the thrill of the chase"? That applies to what I'm saying here. We're way more thrilled by the anticipation and pursuit of ownership than we are by actual ownership. I could go on and on here, but I'll refrain from writing a book. The bottom line is that it's ok to want something, but don't let 'want' take control of your life and make you do things which are not in your best interest. Charging $3200 on your Sweetwater card and paying 22.98% interest is definitely not a trap you want to fall into!
Lol good post. But its more like 3400 because its the select and the Vx351 too lolol.
I think its more like a need. Afterall, we need the Voyager in our MoogerFooger Systems.....Right, Moogmusic?
lol

Oh yeah, I hear ya! By purchasing the Moogerfoogers, you've now created a real 'need' for the Voayager : ) By the way, were you actually able to get a $30 rebate for each Moogerfooger? I bought one unit during that promotion. I was going to buy 3, but something on the rebate form made me assume you could only get 1 rebate. Maybe they meant 1 rebate per unit. Meaning if you bought 5 Ring Modulators you could only get 1 $30 rebate.
Rebate:
I read on the online form "This rebate good for one unit per household"
I ordered 3 (Delay CP and Freq). I was going to take that 30 dollars and get a MF Rack Shelf for 30 instead of 50. I actually forgot about the rebate and Moog sent me an email saying that I was going to get my shelf and a 20.00 check. My rebate was 90 dollars.
I certianly didn't argue.
If they gave me 3400, Id just give it right back to them lolol.

Nick,
Man that compliment made my day! I think the monolith is one that when I give the song a field run to some of my friends...a few minutes into it they skip ahead to see if it ever changes lolol.
I ran the Micro through a guitar processor and switched the setting and when I switched from the low to the WIDE selection on the octave switch it sounded like some bagpipes with delay.
THanks so much, Nick, I really appreciate you saying that!
Respectfully,
Eric

It doesnt seem that long ago you could get a Rogue, Micro, or even MG1 for under 500$, to wet your Moog whistle- These days though I think you'd be better off saving up the few extra bucks and getting a LP sooner, or Voyager later- For me, until my gigs start paying more than 100 a man plus beer, I can't justify 3200, so Im Rogue/LPing it...
