I think you coukd choose different machines dependig on the use
(studio or live)

for a studio use i'm also thinking to aquire a cp 251...but this is not so
usefull for a liove set...if you use preset...
the setting of a cp-251 or other "not midi/presettable" machines could
not be useful for live if ...

It was only stated later than the second mod destination offered a variation from the TE. But I honestly don't know how much that'd effect sounds, because no one has posted the sonic differences as far as I know..

i'm trying to use Pot Map but it seems to work strange....
or i dont understand something...

i got this sound where i need the lfo working (filter + wawe)
but i got no the left hand free to open the modulation whell....
and it seems the lfo work only thru the modulation module (via mod-whell ...

Due to the lenght of this thread I'm not sure if this already been mentioned, but when storing a sound I'd welcome if the LP would remember the actual Mod-Wheel setting, what is especially interesting for FilterFM Sounds...
