expanding the sound with a midi Rom player

Post by PdMoog » Mon Sep 24, 2007 7:00 pm

Hi, i'm Bruno,
i'm new here , and , i write you from Rome...
(so i hope you will excuse me for my not perfect English)

I had update the firmware with the new one (os 1.03c), and now
i'm tryng to use my Little Phatty into my live setup...

My idea is to use it with an expander (an Emu Vintage Pro)
and i have patched it via midi with the audio back into the LP audio-in...
to use the LP as master and analog suond structure
and the expander as an extra Oscillator/Wave bank
to improve the suonds for mono and poly suonds....
injecting on the VCf mellotrons...organs...mutimodulated oscillator...etc..etc..
(triggered and filtered via the LP)....

all seems work ... but i have some question...

-(1)-
the Output Volume Knob (on the LP) trasmit is position thru the midi (cc#7)
so when i move it, i see the volume changing on the expander...i dont like it..
there is a way to exclude it from the midi trasmittion (into the LP) ??
(only the volume knob ...or cc#7....)

if i will connect a volume pedal to the vol-in jack...
this will be trasmit or not ? .....(to cc#7...?)

-(2)-
using the LP as MasterKeyboard there is no way to connect
a sustain pedal ..... is it so ?
ok, i now, it is analog ..and this is a strange way to use it....
...but...there is a way to trasmit via midi the trig input (jack) as sustain pedal ?

-(3)-
using the new firmware.....(the new one is better....thank you !!!!)

i had some difficult editing suond , why , my owner manual is partially obsolete...
i use the display (pages) three (pag. 46 "Master Mode menu") to find the parameters...
there is a way to have the new owner manual (as for the firmaware)...?

Thank you all..
Bruno
