Re: Does anyone else struggle to utilise their LFOs?

I utilize the LFO on the MF-103 to other foogers 'often' as its slow speed is fun with many different use cases. The MF-105m is kinda good on it's own and w/o LFO as a fixed filter bank-ish sound. If you listen carefully (or read the manual to very easily understand) the MF-105m's LFO only shifts ...

Re: Are Moogerfoogers overrated or do they live up to the hype/pricetagDual

They are so worth the money. Buy them on used sites or locally to save a few bucks (I see the best deals on Craigslist, but deals can be had on guitar center's used site (after shipping and taxes), or even sometimes eBay or reverb). Be patient though (deals will arise if you wait). The MF-102 and MF ...

Re: Moog Claravox Centennial vs Moog Etherwave?

OP, did you end up getting either theremin or maybe a different model? MIDI is nice but the CV can be found on the Moog Etherwave+ (ie a 5-knob version of the Etherwave). CV can be converted to MIDI btw, so potentially a cheaper way to go. Anyways, it'd be cool to see what you went with.

Re: MF-105M no MIDI function?

Sound generators they are! ….ever turn the resonance up on the MF-101 …you get a roughly sine wave output or perhaps setting any of the MF-104 variants to a short delay …and WOW …turning the feedback up ….SO MUCH WOW …very sound generative. Even without an input, all of the MF-105’s process ...

Re: Moog Murf 105M - Playing the Filter Bands?

So MURF filters can be universally raised and lowered in frequency a relatively little amount by using CV or certain MIDI commands, but it won’t be like the MF-103 or MF-101 where the frequencies of those filters (phaser is an all pass filter of sorts) move throughout many octaves audibly.

Anyways ...

I didn’t read any Moog news, anyone see anything from them?

What’s “FFB”?

Re: MF-105M no MIDI function?

No. I am not an AI bot, I own a few of the 105m’s, but I just don’t use the MIDI aspect (though I did test one with MIDI from my Subsequent37cv). That said I use CV with them often (yes, I am missing out on many features).

Not a lot of people on this forum anymore, so I thought I’d contribute to ...

I’d very much doubt it. A “pedals” product would again be a product destined to not sell very well. How many synthesizer players are there. I’d estimate that for every 3000 Moog grandmother, DFAM, mother32, matriarch, MoogerfoogeriOS, sub37, sub35, MiniMoog, and MoogOne’s that are sold there’s ...

Oh ah. Bummer.

It does make sound when you have a MIDI cable connected though, right? I am wondering if your unit is not getting the correct start/ stop/ continue clock messages. If it doesn’t make sound, when connected via MIDI then I’d assume it’s being muted. Tried MIDI with many different ...

Re: MF-105M no MIDI function?

Have you changed the MIDI channel? Perhaps your mf104m IS set to the right channel but the mf105m is set to a different channel. Here’s the process of changing MIDI channels from the manual (on pg16 of the manual):

“The MIDI MuRF Defaults to MIDI Channel 1 for receiving Channel Mode messages (MIDI ...

Re: Keyboard recommendation

On the cheap …any keyboard with 5 pin DIN MIDI Out you could find on Craigslist, eBay, Shopgoodwill.com (my lame, but sometimes hidden secret), FB Marketplace, etc etc. Find a keyboard for less than $40.00, get a camera connection kit and the MIDI adapter. Lots of Yamaha PSR, PS-380’s (etc etc …some ...

Re: Minitaur + Hammond pedals: question

Is the “brains” (ie built-in sounds) necessary for your usage? I’d think if you are playing organ, you’re probably playing a clonewheel and can get those sounds from the keyboard, module, or iPad/iPhone app. If you’re okay with just the MIDI pedal and no on-board sounds you may find plenty of pedals ...

Re: Asheville Music Tools - Moogerfooger Legacy

I’ve definitely researched both of those pedals (plus the extended delay version). I honestly need to do more research on his delay with synthesizers and other instruments (besides guitar). I want to say he was involved with the MF-105m as well?

Re: New Moog in the works? "LABYRINTH"

Hmmm interesting find. I’ll bet this “Labyrinth” product is part of a “Phase II” for Moog semi-modulars. It seems they tested the waters with the Werkstatt, Spectravox, and early BFAM pieces. Phase I seemed to be Mother 32, DFAM, and Subharmonicon. Phase II starting with “left-handed chirality” / CV ...

Re: "Bring back the hardware units!" / Reintroduce Moogerfoogers, make them better?

Then the dry signal to be mixed in on the Freqbox is deliberately dulled down, I've never heard this being mentioned as a +VE

This would be an easy fix for re-issue.

I know very little outside of the basic CV, but this is interesting. The way around the FreqBox “dulling” the main signal is of ...
