That actually sounds like exactly what is happening to one of my SDs. I guess because it was intermittent the NZ techs that Moog recommended didn't understand the problem yet they 'fixed' it, still happens.
When you get it back post an update as to if they fixed the problem or not.

I haven't tried a 101, but I've got a Meatball. To be honest they're two different beasts, Lovetone pedals tend to be very transparent which is one of the things I love about them while moogers judging from my delay do colour your tone and add their own character to but they do it well.

So I finally got the Lovetones today, this is what I've gathered so far...
The ? is very very nice. Like many people said I've found it can go from phasing (but it's very subtle phasing), to flanging, to chorus, aswell as psuedo reverb and a bit of slapback too (both somewhat noisy), plus tremolo ...

I would buy a couple of these when I can afford it. Ernie Ball VP Jrs modded to be expression pedals; http://www.toneczareffects.com/lg-prod-exp.htm . Does he sell the modded Ernie Balls by themselves? I assumed he'd be selling them exclusively as controllers for his tremolo and delay pedals.

Update; The Recto was sold recently because I wasn't too happy with the cleans.
