make sure you keep everything in that voyager folder that unstuffs. there is a folder tiltled bundle in there that needs to be there for the app to launch and work. also, it will not launch from the dock you have to lauch from the folder. It is lackluster mac programming at best, but hey at least we have a version, they could have just left us out of the loop all together.

checked everything u said, the voyager app is in the correct folder and the folder named bundle is also present. the voyager app still quits about 5 seconds after trying to load it. i've no idea why it wont load but i've never had another problem with an app on this mac.

Which OS 10.2 version? The older 10.2.x version shad some serious MIDI bugs. I am not sure if the Voyager will work on those versions at all.
When a certain 10.2.x version was released all my MIDI app I downloaded stopped working. And they only worked again after the next OS update.

i have version 10.2.8 so its not that old. theres a new version of stuffit but it only works on 10.3 or higher and i'm not gonna fill apples pockets with more money just to be able to run the voyager editor. i want to know why it won't work.fair enough if it doesn't run on os9, but 10.2.8 is not an old os by any means. i'm sick of having to pay more money out for hyped up pieces of software that are full of bugs.

The Voyager editor was tested here with iBook G3 700Mh / 384Mb OSX 10.2.8 and performed well with USB Midi (M-Audio, MidiSport 2x2 and 8x8). TheVoyager SIT file was made with the latest Stuffit. We can create a Disk Image file as an another installing option. The startup error causing the app to quit is caused by missing "bundle" folder that should be present in the editor' folder together with voyager.app

It's not the version 10.2.8 that had the problems in the CoreAudio. It was a version 10.2.x where x < 5.

Hi,
have you tried it after rebooting (if you keep your Mac running all the time)?
Maybe some needed CoreAudio routines crashed. I experienced a few crashes like this when debugging my own Mac OS X programs sometimes.

Actually, the Voyager Editor will launch from the dock just fine. That's how I've got it set up on my Mac (G4 w/10.3.4 OS) and it has always worked.

think i'm gonna give up on the voyager demo editor. it just won't work. have tried everything suggested in previous posts.there are very few apps that i haven't managed to get working but this is one that just refuses to work. looks like i won't be buying the full version either as the demo has to work first. oh well.

Hi, I came here to see if anyone else is having this problem, and it looks like they are.
Having the same issue. Flat out won't fire up "app has unexp quit" etc, etc. It doesn't have anything to do with docks or the other contents of the folder being present. Tried re-downloading. 10.2.8. Powerbook.

We are in process of getting rid of the "bundle" thing since it obviously creates a problem on some systems. I have to add that most users do not experience it at all. This makes it a little bit harder to pin point the problem. The new demo should be should be available this week after we finish some more testing. The new version will also feature the implementation of the new feature that will further help to organize Presets in Voyager by storing and using Preset category information. The Preset category feature will be fully synchronized in the editor. Thank you for your patience!
