export patches to mac os x?

Post by ztron » Mon May 10, 2010 11:30 pm

Is there a simple program to export all my little phatty patches to mac os x? Could someone help with the process, I've just got so much stuff saved on it, it would be a tragedy if it all got lost.

I have no mac experience with my LP. I use MidiOX on a PC. I read the OSX has a built-in midi utility in the untilities folder.
I found this mac midi untility pretty quick. http://www.snoize.com/SysExLibrarian/

There are others. Hopefully someone with LP->mac experience chimes in.
Once the LP and computer are hooked up and talking nice (no midi loops), all you have to do is to the computer to recieve sysex and the select send preset or send preset bank in the LP menu. Then save the midi sysex file your computer recieved. Putting them back on the LP is just as easy.

Hello,

I use sysex librarian with my Alesis Ion and works fine, should also work with the Phatty.

I've used Sysex librarian yesterday with the Phatty and it works fine.
