Moog logos/badges:attn moog music!

Post by goldphinga » Tue Nov 09, 2004 1:55 pm

Hi all, i had my voyager ae imported from the states so it has a moog sticker on the back and tiny minimoog badge on the front. i wonder if moog had considered making a moog logo badge that owners could mount on their voyagers, like the original moog badges from the minimoog that were mounted on the right hand side. theres something great about having the moog name in view when u are playing and when other people check the keyboard out. obviously if people are familiar with moogs then they will recognise the voyager as a moog instantly, but otherwise its a shame that there is no big moog logo on the front of the voyager.its a constant reminder of the trademark issue thats still unresolved. ideally it would be great to have moog written somewhere on the flip up panel next to the display and on a badge to the right of the keyboard. its such a shame that the moog name still cant be proudly displayed on the voyager on the front of the instrument.any ideas??

Gold -

I think it's a great idea. Send your suggestion to Moog - maybe they can accomodate you.

When I sent in my Voyager registrartion, Moog sent me a Moog sticker just like the one on the back panel of the Voyager. It's probably a bit big for the side panel, but perhaps with a bit of trimming it could work. If you didn't get one when you registered (you did register your Voyager, right?), I'm sure that Moog would be willing to send you one.

OR

You could also try to 'roll your own'. With the availability of digital cameras and photo printers, you should be able to make a suitable logo sized for your needs.

I bought my Voyager AE from EMC in Germany so it has the Moog sticker on the back panel, I also got the Moog calendar. 8) As GregAE just wrote, If you send the Voyager Registration to Moog you’ll get another moog sticker.

thanks all, i got the sticker but its too big to fit on the voyager and looks like a sticker not a badge. i wonder if moogs intention was to send the extra sticker out for the purpose of sticking on the front of the voyager. would be good if they could make a smaller one that fits perfectly on the bit of wood above the keyboard.
