Post by jondose » Fri Apr 02, 2010 9:15 pm

so i have recently acquired a minimoog voyager not in bad shape but the pitch bend and mod wheel dont work. also the 1st osc seems to be out of tune. just wondering what the best way of goin about getting it fixed would be. maybe approximate cost. thanks.

Might be worth a drive then, they could do some upgrades while it was there. If you're handy with a screwdriver, you might check the connector in the wheel assembly.

Tuning can be difficult without the right tools. But when you say Osc. 1 is out, can't you use the fine-tune to bring it back? Is the keyboard out of scale (gets sharp or flat as you play up higher)?

Second check the cable connections on the pitch and mod wheels. If they are loose hit them with some RTV silicone to hold them in place. If your Voyager had a field upgrade of the wheels it is very likely just loose cables.
