silly question about using voyager as a controller
I recently received (about 5 minutes ago) a synth in rack form and I'm trying to figure out how to use the voyager as a controller keyboard for it. what's the deal? can i use 1/4 patchcords as a quick fix to do so? midi cables? help, i'm an idiot! thanks.
Given the paucity of rack mountable synthesizers that only offer CVs, I presume that you have a MIDI module. If so, a cable from the voyager's midi out into the module's midi in will do the trick. Just make sure that the voyager is transmitting midi on the same channel as the rack is receiving (or set the rack to omni) .
