demystifying CV/Modular synthesis

Post by Indeed » Sat Sep 18, 2004 12:06 am

Hi All,

I just got a voyager a couple o months ago, am very very stoked, needless to say...
However I'm pretty new to the concept and use of control voltages in modular synthesis. I bought an EP1 pedal, I get that part, but what I'm curious about is what exactly something like the XV351 or CP251 expander does?

I see all these jacks there, but dunno what's going on there or to what possible effect any course of action might have, and I haven't seen any good explanations online either.

I am (of course) totally interested in expanding the possibilities of sound-crafting with my voyager, and they say something like the 351 or 251 can help. Can a kind soul please shed some light?

peace
Daniel

Ah, I was finally able to view the vx351 documentation...I have now been illuminated on the subject and am amazed! This voyager is something else! Top of my list is the vx351, and cp251...

peace
