New Gear Site - Alternative Electronics

Post by Alternative Electronics » Thu Dec 10, 2009 6:38 pm

Hi everyone,

I've recently created a new gear website based around alternative electronic musicians and the gear they use - basically users can click through the site and see which bands use what as well as which gear is most popular etc.

I have a sub-page set up for Moog gear, it'd be cool if maybe some of you could give me some feedback on the site.

Most of the bands I have listed are fairly non-mainstream - so far I've focused on industrial/synthpop/breakcore/IDM and similar musicians.

Awesome site! I particularly like the fact I've never heard of some of these bands. Gives it kind of an indie feel, which I totally am digging on!
Minitaur, CP-251, EHX #1 Echo, EHX Space Drums/Crash Pads, QSC GX-3, Pyramid stereo power amp, Miracle Pianos, Walking Stick ribbon controller, Synthutron.com, 1983 Hammond organ, dot com modular.

Thanks for posting this. I love to listen to this kind of music. I hate the lack of creativity in music today and Moog Gear seems to inspire people to think ouside the box. I think its time to take the lid of the box and blow the stink off of pop music.

Thanks everyone - just so you know I'm also working on a user contribution system, so people will be able to submit new gear/bands to the site and add gear to band's equipment lists. I've done my best adding the first 250 or so bands but I'm hoping with input from others it will grow a lot larger than that.
