Two MP-201 questions

Post by r05c03 » Wed Nov 11, 2009 10:45 am

First, is it possible to assign 2 channels on the MP-201 to the same MIDI CC#. I have been trying to set one channel to use an Expression control to take OSC 2 on the Little Phatty from in-tune with OSC 1 to a 5th above OSC1 and another channel to modulate the Freq of OSC 2 with the S&H. I DO NOT plan on having these channels on at the same time. It does not appear that I can do this.

Second. In quad mode it seems that I can only have one channel on at a time. I though Quad mode allowed me to turn any of the channels of and on.

Thanks.

Whether quad mode allows one channel at a time or multiple channels to be enabled at once is a global setting. You'll find it on the Utilities Menu -> Quad Options -> Quad Mono/Poly. Change it from MONO to POLY.

As for your first question, yes you can assign any CC number to any MP-201 channel; this includes setting all MP201 channels to output the same CC number, if you want. What has led you to think you can't do this? It should be as simple as setting both channels to the same CC number... if there's any trouble with this, please let me know.

Cheers,

Amos
