Hey, been thinking about this one also, let us hear in details when you have it, cos I'm a little sceptical especially about the inside padding and how it could hold our precious. Thanks man!Boognish wrote:http://cgi.ebay.com/ATA-CASE-for-MOOG-L ... .m20.l1116

Proper Case
If I were you, I'd play it safe and spend the extra money ($289) for the proper ATA case that Moog offers for the Little Phatty. I've got the ATA for the Voyager, and it's worth every cent. Only the best for Moog synthesizers. Then they'll last for decades.

My thoughts exactly. The Analog Organist wrote:If I were you, I'd play it safe and spend the extra money ($289) for the proper ATA case that Moog offers for the Little Phatty. Moog Voyager RME / Moog LP SE 2 / Nord Rack 1 / Microkorg / Korg ER-1 / Triggerfinger / Rocktron Banshee talk box / Ableton live / Guru / Lots of non-electric musical instruments.
I had a case made for my LP with a ~12" compartment on the end for cables and various modules, I put wheels on one end and a handle on the other. The case is a tank but it is HEAVY and too big to fly with anyway. It definitely protects the LP on road trips, but for 80% of the gigs I play I could use a less substantial case.
If I were to do it all over again, I'd buy the moulded case from Moog. I imagine it's much lighter and might actually stow under the plane on a flight (if you opted to do that
).
If I were you, I'd splurge and buy the case from Moog. You will never regret it.

As I said before on another post-the ideal way to fly with the phatty is not with a flight case but with the soft bag taken on board as hand luggage.I have been doing this for 2 years-it works and avoids the possibility of a lost or damaged/ruined Moog. The ATA case is of course the preferred case for touring by road.
