I realize this is probably a long shot, but does anyone know if the MP-201 transmits note data? Forgive me if it's in the manual. I have read it a few times and maybe I'm just not reading between the lines but it doesn't appear to.
...looking for ways to get creative to do more with less in my band and thought this might be able to help me out. I have a nord wave and wanted to be able to trigger specific notes which would contain samples on them from the foot switches while I'm playing guitar. Thought this would be really helpful for those of us multitaskers...I also have at least one song that needs a really simple pad series of just a few consecutive notes held down while I'm playing guitar and was hoping I could use the momentary button function for that.
Any ideas? I have to admit, I'm not as MIDI savy as most here probably are so forgive me if this is a stupid question. Thanks in advance for your help!

Great news - thanks! Just scrolled down and read Amos' post on the firmware updates. Can't wait for that to be released! It's amazing how versatile this thing is. My only complaint is I gotta figure out how to fit the MP on my gigging pedalboard with the moogerfoogers - but that's a good problem to have

Roland FC-200 or 300 can do it. 10 notes. They can be had cheap on ebay.
The 200 lets you put 6 CV expression pedals on it and assign them to CC's along with the onboard pedal. Gives you 13 switches and 7 pedals total.
