Old MemoryMoog recording

Post by Brian G » Tue Jun 09, 2009 10:54 am

For fun, I posted a multi-track improvation recording using nothing but a MemoryMoog and acoustic drums and percussion I did with a Drummer friend back in 1987.

The recording was done on a Teac 3440 reel to reel, recently I transferred the tracks into the Roland VS2480 for archiving and re mixing. In those days track count was limited for what we wanted to do, so each track is a live submix to the track being recorded. Track one is the organ like patch and drums, track two is the bass line and tambourine, Track 3 is the “percky clav like” patch and additional percussion, track four is the lead. All sounds were custom programmed.

The One SatNight recording is from a few months ago that uses the Little Phatty, Voyager, MidniMoog Model D, and Prophet 08 along with the MoogerFooger MF103 and MF104SD. I had posted a link back them to the YouTube video :)

I've always liked the Memorymoog sound. I just never could afford one. Nor could I afford the repair bills. Awesome synth though. They need to do an update on the Memorymoog.
