voyager vs. sidstation (how to turn off cc´s?)

Post by sinus » Mon Jul 05, 2004 6:57 pm

Hi.
I´ve finaly sold one of my two Minimoogs and got me a brand new Voyager AE.
It is even better than I expected it to be, and I expected a lot.
It just feels right.

I also got a Sidstation which I plugged into the Voyager´s ext.In.
I fixed it right above the black Moog and connected the midi-out of the Voyager
with midi-in of the Sidstations.
Now the two are one, and sound pretty wild together.

The only problem is, that as soon as I turn any knob of the Moog, the parameters
in the sidstation get changed too by that action , in a way that I don´t want.
It has a certain bended circuit appeal, but thats not what i was looking for.

How can I turn off the cc messages.

Can anybody out there help me ?

How can I turn off the cc messages ?
No, there is no such menue available yet.
I am missing this too when using the Voyagers keyboard to play MIDI devices while the Voyager is driven by the Manikin step sequencer.

And you are able to disable ingoing program change messages, but you can't do so with outgoing program messages.

I hope Moog will add this on the next update.
keep on turning these Moog knobs

At least I´m not alone,
thanks Qwave!

I was thinking maybe some kind of MIDI filter could help,
but I couldn´t find any on the web.
I first thought that Philip Rees might have such a MIDI filter,
but they dont.

It´s just because the Voyager got such a nice MIDI keyboard,
that I want to use it all the time, also for other instruments.

The new update definitely should have a function to switch off
cc´s for knobs and wheels separately!
