Just bought me an original sovtek phaser brand new in box this week(NOS, the build like a tank green version)planning to use it with my LP.
Strangely enough I hear a sort of noise when I use it with my phatty while turning knobs or using the mod wheel. It sounds like digital artifacts bleeding through.
Anyone with the same experience here and possibly a tip or solution?.
I know the sovtek is not the most sophisticate piece of equipment, but it seems to me that the noise is made by the phatty.
Thanks
LPTE and EHX Sovtek phaser.
Rather than being digital artifacts, that sound is, indeed, analog noise. I get the same thing when running my LP through my Dan-O-Wha. I believe it is caused by subtle tolerances in the IC chips in the LP. I know that somewhere on this forum Amos talked about a noise that sounded like digital artifacts, but wasn't. It was in the post titled something like Noisy Filter Cutoff. Hope this helps!
