Leaving the LP powered on. Problems?

In a hypothetical situation, if I were to leave my LP powered on for an extended period of time--say a day, week, or month straight--could this be detrimental to it? Would an oscillator it "burn out"? I'm still not knowledgeable on the innards of the LP enough to understand its lifespan and durability.

I don't think this would cause any kind of problem, unless perhaps you left it on for a month in an unventilated attic in the summer... there is such a thing as too much heat, but it will not overheat just from being left on in a normal environment, even for a very long time.
