Man the Delay would be nice. You can take the 102 and insert it in the effects loop, each subsequent echo will be further ring modulated. Do this with a harmonic on the guitar and it sounds like you are hitting these huge tubular gongs of different sizes.

THe cp 251 is cool, you can run the sample and hold output to the Freq in, then use an expression pedal in the mix input. Go from a clean tone to a sample and hold in the background.

You can use the cp251 and the ringmod and almost get some arpeggiated sounds by combining the pulse of the 102 with the pulse of the 251 using the attenuators to control the intervals. Match up the tempo of both carefully and it will mimic an arpeggio.

With the Freq Box, the envelope follower from the 107 can control any of the CV inputs...the louder you play the faster the LFO, or the higher the freq, etc.

You see what I have below or I could probably give more ideas. You would probably have more options with the Cp251 than anything else. WHatever you end up buying though, youll eventually want the cp251 to go with it.

Good luck!

THank you very much for the compliment and please add us as a friend if you have a myspace page.

You coudl probably use the LFO into a trigger input on the CP to activate the sample and hold. You could multiply the LFO and send it to 3 other destinations with CV inputs. You could combine it and the other two waveshapes into the mixer to send it out as a complex waveform to send to another cv input on something else. You coudl use the LFO on the 102 to increase and decrease the speed of the LFO on the cp251, running it back into your Ring Mods freq will modulate that sample and hold I mentioned at the beginning of this paragraph. WHatever you can imagine.

I think though, for the most part, the CP is better suited for outputs as what you insert will get augmented and redistributed to other cv gear. You can attenuate, multiply, combine an incoming control signal like the LFO from the Ring Mod.. You can control the rise and fall of the LFO's waveshape with the lag processor.

Check out the Ring Mods manual and there are some patches in there but if you end up getting the cp251 then be thinking about the next fooger that you want. If you are really interested in making new sounds, the cp251 is going to give you a few (alot more) options, but you won't realize the true power of the cp251 until you get more and more CV gear to go with it. You may very well consider the MURF too in the future or the Filter pedal. I think if you have 2 MoogerFOogers you can do some cool stuff, but if you only have 1 and the cp251 it can be limiting. Once you have a third unit and up though you really start wishing that people would donate to your patchcord fund. THis is my personal opinion and others may disagree.
If you don't do anything though, invest in an expression pedal. I didn't even use mine until i bought my delay and with my cp251 Im using it all the time. I really need the mp201 now.

THanks again for the complimetns, it is greatly appreciated.

Respectfully,
EricK
