Bob Moog´s lecture at the Red Bull Music Academy
thanks
What a cool guy Bob Moog was. I'm 26 so I am fairly new to the whole Moog thing. But I can see why there is such a big deal from watching all the interviews on the internet. The emphasis really is on the music and the muscians connection to it. Something organic in feel. I think thats what separates it from stuff like the "Uber Workstation 9000 version 2.9.37"...
That is why I come here... because Moog seems to be the only company that is focusing on musical devices with "organic" technologies for musicians (as opposed to making inexpensive-to-build digital devices for musicians, amateurs, and the clueless). They're a company that is sticking to their traditional strengths and creating quality products.
It appears that Bob Moog's philosophy is still part of the company.

Remembering Dr. Bob
Yes, thanks so very much Mooger5 for that post. Lots of wisdom in a few words !
Similar trains of thought can be seen in interviews with Klaus Schulze on his official website. Always insightful - at times caustic - but drawing, as did Dr. Bob, on many years of experience. Here's a link to interviews:
