changes in SETTING menu

It is not clear to me how I can see changes in the setting menu.
example 1
I want to change midi receiving channel to channel 7
procedure :
SETTING -> MIDI (15) -> 7 -> SETTING
Is this correct ?
Is this immediate changed ?

example 2
Change midi input to DIN only
SETTING -> CONFIG(16) -> PAGE TO 3 ( 48) -> 2 -> SETTING
is this correct ?

Change midi send & receive channels to channel 7
SETTING -> MIDI (15) -> 7 (Channel) -> SETTING

Change midi receiving channel to channel 7 and send to 1
SETTING -> MIDI (15) -> 7 (Input Channel) -> Press & Hold 1 (Output Channel) -> SETTING

Change midi input to DIN only: Location 3.4 Value 2
SETTING -> CONFIG(16) -> PAGE TO 3 (48) -> 4 (Param) -> 2 (Value) -> SETTING
