Hi guys,
first time posting here. Very confused about new malfunction of my Minitaur. Appreciate your help!
You find a Link to a YouTube Video demonstrating the problem here (please excuse my heavy breathing, I'm not even that old): https://youtu.be/F8i90Xqt6kI
Summary:
Using my Minitaur in combination with the editor, high output presets and complex arp patterms at some point a loud low frequency humming noise sets in which sounds like a feedback loop. It doesn't stop: neither when changing presets nor when turning down both VCOs completely (comes back when turning them up again - so no feedback loop!?). Also pluging out the USB connection doesn't stop it.
The only way to stop it is turning it on and off again or when plugging the USB connection back in (not always) or when clicking "get" hardware presets from Minitaur (always).
It only occurs, after Minitaur is in use for at least 10 minutes (warm!?)and under described conditions with high output settings and using the editor.
Can anyone tell me, what might be the fault? Do I have to take my synth to a repair shop or is it a software based issue?
SetUp:
Ableton Live Suite 11 with Push 2
Minitaur Firmware 2.2.1

Are you sure you're not sending hidden MIDI commands with your DAW? Maybe check your MIDI data stream.

USB ground loop, very common. The only way to stop it is turning it on and off again or when plugging the USB connection back in (not always)
Use MIDI for playback of audio and MIDI CC.
Use USB only for patch management and configuration. When not in use, unplug the USB cable from the Minitaur.
If you must use USB for both, acquire a USB hub with isolated USB ports.
