Hi!
Any ideas on howe to prevent the key contact springs from going to far up the hole of the rubber bus bar? I'm thinking a small drop of glue at the edge of the rubber, or perhaps a small piece of tape across it.
Also, the springs I got from Syntaur are all second hand. Do I need to clean them first? They're almost brown, and look more like copper than gold. I've used chemically clean isopropanol on installed springs before.

Re: The key contact springs
Clean gold plating with a pipe cleaner (the kind used for tobacco pipes) dipped in denatured alcohol not isopropyl alcohol. IPA leaves a film behind that will cause trouble later.

Thaks so much for answering. I've used isopropanol before, but not enough long ago to experience any problems. The keys this time haven't had any springs changed.
Many alcohols are denaturated. What kind would be best?
