New Owner: Calibration routine questions?

Post by mt.stupid » Wed Oct 02, 2024 8:23 am

I acquired a new Moog One 16V, and so far it’s fantastic. Shipped with 1.5, and I haven’t really noticed any tuning issues yet which was my biggest concern. That said I do plan to run the long calibration routine eventually. I have fans set to low, noise reduction at 0dB and background tuning OFF. Is it best to run the calibration using these settings? My studio has a mini split for AC so the temperature can variate wildly depending on whether all the gear is on (sauna) and the mini split is on (quite cool). Is it best to run the calibration routine when the room is on the warm or cold side, or maybe a bit of both? For example I could cool the room start the routine, turn off the AC and turn on some gear which would naturally heat it over a few hours.

Fan mode = LOW

Another question: the manual seems to indicate that fan mode LOW is still safe at all times. Meaning if the AC is off and a lot of gear on, and the temperature creeps up the fans will still kick into higher gear as needed to protect the One. Just wanted to confirm that it’s safe to leave in low fan mode.

if it’s oke, why run the extensive procedure when it’s oke now ??

low fan mode is what is oke, always my choice unless it’s midsummer ..
