Minimoog keyboard mystery

Post by Chjj » Wed Aug 14, 2024 11:30 pm

I took my 1981 minimoog apart to refinish the cabinet, and now, setting the keyboard back in place, it sits too low, so the keys are almost resting on the cabinet wood, and there is a visual gap at the bs k so you can see the screws holding the plastic keys in. I don’t think I misplaced anything. The two front and two back screws fit as they should, but it’s as though some shims are required on the screws to heighten the keyboard. It’s so odd, because I reassembled it a couple of times last and didn’t have this problem. I am 71 now, so maybe I’m losing it. Can anyone enlighten me?
