Problem with Moog Mavis 1V/OCT calibration

Post by danielalegria » Wed Jun 19, 2024 10:49 pm

Hello, I just bought a Moog Mavis and I really really like it but no matter what I do I can not get it to calibrate with my keystep. I measured the voltage coming out of my keystep and it's sending out a perfect 0V at low C and a perfect 2V two octaves up, but when I connect it to my Mavis it is flat. I can tune it to C at 0V but it will play a B at 1V and a Bb at 2V.

What I have tried:
- I carefully followed the calibration page in the manual and was able to calibrate the onboard keyboard perfectly.

- where I get stuck is at "1V/octave calibration" #4: "the tuner should display two octaves above step 2. If necessary, make small adjustments to the trimpot to the right of the PITCH knob.

- the tuner displays Bb at 2V instead of C at this step and when I attempt to adjust the trimpot (1V/OCT TRIM VR18) nothin happens at all, it makes no adjustment whatsoever.

I hope I'm just being dumb and there is some sort of obvious fix but I would appreciate any help I can get. I don't actually want to have to return it.
