Klaus Schulze Moog sounds

Post by seamus » Fri Feb 20, 2004 10:31 pm

Hi,

I have a Moog Voyager and I am a fan of Klaus Schulze Music. I would like to recreate the sounds he does with the Moog, especially the leads he plays on "The Dark Side of The Moog" series. I don't know if he uses a distortion effect and a delay in order to obtain that spacey and aggressive sound. Please can anybody tell me any info about how I can get that sound?

Thanks & Regards

I am a fan of Schulze as well. I don't know about the record you're talking about but I think one of his best solos is towards the end of Totem from Picture Music. I believe it's an ARP Odyssey though. Amazing sound. 8)

Klaus Schulze uses a TC FUZZ guitar floor FX since the mid eighties more or less on all Minimoog solos. This little FX is not available anymore. And if, these are high priced.

But why recreate the sound of another musican?
The Voyager and other fine synth allow one to create a sound of your own.
keep on turning these Moog knobs
