HELP! HELP! HELP! FILTER ENVELOPE NOT WORKING !!!!!

Post by revstate » Sat Sep 16, 2006 5:34 pm

i was just making some new patches and playing with some other patches that i had already made, and all of a sudden, my filter envelope stopped triggering

and now with any patch, the only time i can get it to trigger is if i set it to "multi trigger" "last key" and hold a note down while playing the other notes

if i try to trigger the filter envelope any other way, it will not trigger, on any patch

i am really worried, and moog is closed for the weekend

i have a new unit, 2499, with 3.2 soft and it came with the AT mod

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!!

THANKS

BEN

Sounds like there may be a problem. First of all take a deep breath and call Moog on Monday. Your Voyager is still under warranty, so chill!

i can't help it, i was just getting to the point where i thought this was the best thing ever, and then this happens.

warranty or not, i spent ALL of my money buying it, i have no money to get it shipped to moog, and guitar center will take an eon to get it sent and recieved

on top of that, i had just started work on my new album when this happened

i will try to chill, maybe a quick trip to the booze store is in order for the next 2 nights

thanks,

ben

both are off, i reset everything i could find under the factory setup menu, and still no luck

but, check this out

when i set the sustain to max. and the evnvelope filter amount to max, the attack still won't work, but the decay starts acting like a really odd attack, one with a a weird shape to the attack

and the sustain works like normal, except that this may change at any time since i just keep on loosing more functions

also, when used as a mod source, the filter eg acts just as stupid

but when i use the vca eg as the filter mod source, it acts as it should

this makes no sense at all

That really sucks, man. I can't imagine how you feel. If it makes you feel any better, I bought an new (used) car a few weeks ago. The first time I go to start it up after I drove it off the lot, it doesn't start up. They old saying is true, "sh*t happens!", but it will work out.

If you got it from Guitar Center, I'd call them first. They might let you return it and exchange it.

This sounds lik ethe contact of the keyboard to the left hand section board is not OK. So better check this before shipping the Moog.
keep on turning these Moog knobs

Prodigy * minimoog '79 * Voyager * MF102 * MF103 * MF104z * MP201 * Taurus 3 * Minitaur * Sub Phatty * MF105 * Minimoog 2017+ MUSE * One 16 (sold)

if this is so...

then why am i able to disable the keyboard and play from another controller, and still have the problem ?

the voyager's keyboard controll functions are all software, so why would it be able to affect the eg so dramatically, even after i turned it off

also, i re-installed the os, 3.2 to 3.2... 3.2 to 3.1... and 3.1 to 3.2 and still the problem is there

but, if you have an idea i would love to hear it

thanks
