I just got a voyager and I'm really excited about it. But I'm having difficulty getting it to handle incoming midi correctly.
I've adjusted note priority repeatedly (yes, I know it's associated with patches and is not global). I can change the way the Voyager prioritizes notes I play on its keyboard. But when I send midi to it--either sequenced in Ableton or from an external midi keyboard--it only uses low note priority. That's when it's 'behaving'. Sometimes it arbitrarily uses last note priority or high note. But let's just say it's using low all the time, because that's generally the deal. What this means is that if I accidentally overlap any notes in a programmed sequence, the overlapping higher notes don't sound, which leave annoying silences in my sequences that I have to fix by hand in Ableton so that nothing overlaps.
I don't have this issue with my phatties. Does my Voyager have a glitch? Would a hard OS reset change anything? I can't imagine that my voyager just *is* this way and I have to learn to work around it. I have a number of recent analog synths--DSI, etc--and the moogs are the sketchiest as far as doing weird things with midi. But I hope this isn't one of those things...

Re: Note priority on incoming midi not working?
I’m on OS 3.6 and just tested low, high and last note priority. I recorded into Reaper as well as playing fast runs on my controller. No problem with either.
I assume you have local off? If not you should do so to see if it makes a difference. Otherwise I don’t see any harm in reloading the OS. However my gut tells me this is not the issue unless maybe you’re using an older version?
