102 broken??

Post by bibendum » Mon Sep 04, 2006 2:43 am

I just bought a used 102 ring modulator, and I think there is a big problem with it. If I play loud enough while in bypass mode, a loud noise occurs, the bypass LED turns yellow briefly, and then the pedal goes out of bypass mode. Has this happened to anybody else?

Thanks!

Bibendum,

Here's some helpful information copied from the MoogerFooger manual:

RETURNING YOUR MOOGERFOOGER FOR REPLACEMENT/REPAIR

You must obtain prior approval and an RMA number from Moog Music before returning any product to us. Wrap your MoogerFooger carefully and pack it with the power adaptor in its original carton. The warranty will not be honored if the product is not properly packed. Then send it to Moog Music with transportation and insurance charges paid. A reasonable cost for service and for materials and return freight will be charged to replace materials defective through the fault of the user, or for which the one year warranty period has expired. Transportation and insurance charges from Moog Music to your United States address, of products repaired or replaced under warranty, will be paid by Moog Music.

Contact Moog Music (828-251-0090) about this. I'm sure they can get your MF-102 working properly again.

Greg
