Opening Ableton -program change
Every time i open Abltn Live, or load a new project my Sub37 jumps to a specific patch. It also resets one of my drummachines, so i guess it's an ableton thingy. Any ideas on how and if i can change/use this?

I believe this is Ableton loading the setup from the software. All of my synths with editors do this (DSI stuff too). It is mildly annoying. I've just gotten used to resetting all the hardware to a "basic" patch after starting Ableton. I should create a new startup template that has the basic patches loaded... but it doesn't bother me that much...
New Moogs: Sub 37, Minitaur - Ableton Live 9, Cubase 9, WaveLab 9 - Duet, UAD Apollo Twin + Octo - MacBook Air (10.11.6), Mac mini x2 (10.12.3) - MiniFooger Delay (x2), Drive and Chorus -- Legacy: Prodigy (Rev. 1), Juno-60, DX7 (Rev. 1 + Grey Matter E!)

Bump... anyone know a solution for this? it's really annoying, i'd like a project to either open with the preset for the track, or at least not changing the preset that the sub37 was on.

Re: Opening Ableton -program change
I had this happen once with Nuendo/Cubase. I was creating a patch with the hardware and didn't have the DAW open. When I finally opened the DAW and loaded my new song template the settings changed. It was because I had the Sub37 vst editor loaded in my new song template. The vst editor saves the state of the hardware when you close/save a song, and automatically loads that set up when the song is opened. (I love this feature, it is one of the only redeeming features of vsti and to have hardware that can do that is amazing)
I simply removed the editor from my templates to stop this from happening. In my case, I was able to get the sound back immediately because I like to zero out all Sub37 controls/knobs/buttons when starting a new preset. All I had to do was turn on panel mode and my sound was still there since I hadn't changed any hardware controls. That can be a life saver when you have accidentally lost a sound you were working on.
Now I just load the editors after starting a new project. Only takes a few seconds.

This would annoy me too.
What about when you have a project and you have the settings you want, then just save the project. If you open that project with the saved settings do your synths reset?
I would probably save all my synth settings in one of the banks and then open Ableton and then just select that bank preset. Especially if you’re performing.
