Has anyone had any success with this? I've read a couple forum posts on elektronauts where people have had some success powering Elektron products with portable batteries. Some have ac plug outputs but others have usb dc outputs... The real difficulty I've had is finding batteries that output the proper voltage, especially since I don't know a lot about electricity beyond using it synthesis. What I do know is that getting the wrong battery could either
A) Overpower the device and damage the circuits
B) Underpower the device and not allow enough energy for power-up (I have heard that the Mother can shoot well above the advertised 2.8w of consumption during power-up, causing problems for some eurorack setups)
C) Provide an inconsistent power stream, resulting in horrible octave ranges and pretty bad sounding tones in general
D) Provide the wrong kind of modified sine-wave or even square wave power stream (not talking about oscillators here, talking about the actual form of electricity from the power source to the unit) which can cause problems from noisyness to damaged circuits).
I really really hate spending so much time indoors and feel much more inspired and at peace in an outdoor settings. I hope there are others out there with similar ambitions and can help me out here. Despite all the possible problems I listed, apparently people have had success powering their Elektron devices. As I said before, some of them are wall-wart compatible but others only sport usb outputs. I also can't find a way to match the Mother's power consumption to that of the Elektron products, but they all seem to be in a similar range to the Mother. All I need is someone with electrical knowledge to help explain to me what the best solution would be here.
