voyager v3 - stereo signal leaning left ?

Post by bounce » Fri Mar 31, 2006 1:08 pm

hey hows it going, I'm just getting used to an allen & heath mixer i use to monitor ...anyways I'm noticing that signals are registering hotter on the left....so I'm trying to narrow this problem down

just going through some moog presets I notice that most of them have hotter left signals.....can someone tell me if this is the case ? .....bare in mind I've got the version 3 software for voyager, so I have a tonne of presets.....if someone could pick a preset that they know has equal volume signals coming from left and right....then I can check it on my side....

of course alot of the presets modulate in volume, but always the left signal is higher and more dominant.....surely this cant be the same for all the presets....

anyways, thanks in advance for your help!

Are you sure its not the mixer? My girlfriend had this problem with her Allen and Heath Xone:32. One side of one of the line channels was louder than the other. She corrected this by adjusting the pan to compensate. Now the channel doesn't work at all though!

Try hooking up another sound source to see if its not the mixer.

I have noticed the same thing on my v. 3.1 EB Voyager. Rats! Audio from the right output jack is definitely audible, but softer. Odd.

Are you sure its not the cutoff spacing? A low cutoff frequency in one channel could be perceived as a lower volume.
