Inconsistent USB Connection

Hi,
Is there a way to make the editor and DAW detect the Sub's USB connection consistently? When I open projects I have to hope for the best and pray to the synth gods that it detects the connection of the Sub 37. Most of the times it doesn't recognize the unit and I have to close Cubase, open the editor to see if that recognizes it, and if it doesn't I have to restart the computer. Is there a way to fix this?
Thanks,
Juan

I don't have this probleem myself, my Subs are always recognized, but it might help to give some more details about your setup. What OS are you using? If Windows, what driver (universal or the new Sub 37 specific one), what version of OS, firmware, editor, etc. Do you use a USB hub or a direct connection? (Is the cable ok?)

Thanks for the reply. Here is my setup:
Windows 10
i7 5820k 3.3 GHZ
64 Ram
Sub 37 specific drivers (installed last week)
Sub 37 1.2.0 Connected via USB (Cable seems to work fine with my other devices)
Tried opening the editor right now, did not recognize the Sub. In the setup page the Sub appears on both midi In and Out, but for whatever reason, it doesn't reflect the changes in the editor.
Very frustrating.

I'm afraid I can't help you any further, I'd sending this info to Moog support and maybe they can help you get this fixed.

Hi Juan,
Don't have this problem myself either.
Some basic troubleshooting should locate where your problem is.
Firstly - Windows Device Manager has to "see" the Sub37 first, before the Editor or Cubase will detect it.
Device Manager > View > Devices by connection...

- Device Manager sees Sub 37.JPG (34.96 KiB) Viewed 3158 times
Secondly - isolate the problem. It can be surprising where the problem actually is but there is always a reason.
1) Avoid using USB hubs
2) Remove all other non-mandatory USB peripherals.
2) Try another USB input
3) Try another USB cable. Use a short cable - 1 meter.
4) Try a cheap PCI-bus USB expansion card eg VIA
5) Try the Sub 37 on another computer
Also, Cubase needs USB devices to be aleady ON when it is started. eg if you switch the Sub 37 off/on after starting Cubase then Cubase will need to be restarted to detect the Sub 37 again.[/color]

Thanks for your reply, that does seem to work now. For whatever reason the editor still doesn't "Capture Hardware"' even when it sees the Sub connected as in and out. Any recommendations?
