Aftertouch noise.

Hi!
Im new with the voyager and im used to the sub37's routing so i tried to add vibrato to the aftertouch like you can do using one of the sub's mod. Busses.
I have tried a bunch of routes but no gives me that pleasing soft vibrato. (I dont want to use the aftertouch as shaping for an already ongoing modulation)
One thing i did notice is how sensitive the aftertouch is! I tried to rout (pot mapping) the aftertouch to the key pitch and it went nuts! I can control pitch but there is a lot of noise and it is really sensitive. Tried it with the filter cutoff as well and it is the same thing noise!
Is there a way to smooth out the aftertouch so it does not react tho everything?
Is there a way to add vibrato through aftertouch without already having a little modulation going on?
If not, is the sub37's mod matrix so superior to the voyager and isn't it just a question of software?
(I bought the voyager due to reliability issues with the sub37)
